Thermal Protection System
Endeavour's thermal protection system (TPS) is composed of over 23,000 ceramic tiles that cover the space shuttle's surface. The TPS protects the vehicle from the searing heat upon reentry into Earth's atmosphere, with temperatures reaching 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Just as the Thermal Protection System kept Endeavour safe as it re-entered Earth's atmosphere, Team Endeavour sponsors helps keep Endeavour safe as it fulfills its final mission to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and explorers.
Gift levels start at $1,000 with the option to sponsor a tile in full or through a 10-month payment plan below.
